• Account information. The information you give us when you sign up, complete a contact form, or request an appointment, such as your name, email address, phone number, and physical address.

• Your Stuff. The files, documents, comments, and messages you store with us, along with related information such as file size, upload time, collaborators, and usage activity. We store, process, and transmit Your Stuff so you can collaborate and work across devices.

• Contacts. If you choose to give us access to your contacts (a spouse or other company staff), we store them so you can share and collaborate on Your Stuff, send messages, and invite others to the Services.

• Usage information. How you use the Services, including actions in your account such as sharing, viewing, and moving files. We use it to improve our Services, develop new features, and protect our users.

• Cookies and other technologies. We use cookies to remember your username, understand how you use the Services, and improve them. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services.

• Mobile phone number and text messaging consent. If you opt in to our text messages, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent (see the next section).

Text Messaging (SMS) Program

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

How we obtain consent. We send text messages only to clients and prospective clients who have opted in. You opt in by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts from Eck Tax & Accounting, for example by checking an unchecked consent box on a form on our website, signing a written or electronic engagement or intake form that includes SMS consent language, or texting a keyword to our number. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us.

What we send. Messages relate to your account and our services, such as appointment reminders and scheduling, requests for documents or information, notices that a document is ready for review or signature, tax filing and deadline reminders, invoice and payment notifications, and responses to your questions. Message frequency varies depending on your activity with us.

Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to opt out and get help. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further texts unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details at the end of this policy. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your mobile number stays with us. We use your mobile number and SMS consent only to send you the messages described above and to keep a record of your consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.

How We Use and Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

We collect and use personal data to provide you with the Services in a reliable and secure manner and for our legitimate business needs. If we process your data for any other purpose, we ask for your consent in advance.

Service providers. We use trusted third parties, such as providers of customer support, eSign, and IT services, to help us provide, improve, and protect our Services. They may access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf, in compliance with this Privacy Policy, and we remain responsible for their handling of it. This does not include your mobile phone number or text messaging opt-in data and consent, which are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Law and the public interest. We may disclose your information if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or an appropriate government request; (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; (c) prevent fraud or abuse of our platform or users; (d) protect our rights, property, safety, or interest; or (e) perform a task carried out in the public interest.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Mobile opt-in data and consent will not be transferred or shared for marketing purposes.

We treat your personal information as confidential, limit access to employees who need it to do their jobs, and require our outside service providers to protect it and use it only to meet our business needs. • Delete. Erase all or some of Your Stuff in your portal account.

• Correct. Change or correct your personal data by managing your account and editing your details in your portal account settings.

• Access and take your data. Download a copy of Your Stuff in a machine-readable format from the portal.

• Stop text messages. Reply STOP to any text message at any time, or contact us to have your mobile number removed from our texting program.
